Description
Short Song Description:
An instrumental tribute to both The Shadows and the Apollo Astronauts, boyhood heroes to The Wrong Crowd. Strange as it may seem those with The Right Stuff appeal to the The Wrong Crowd
Long Song Description:
Recorded in 1991. Chris plays the guitar. Rick and Chris collaborated on programming the drums, possibly on a Roland Rhythm Composer thingy. Rick played the weird keyboard solos on some sort of primitive Yamaha synth that seemed incredibly sophisticated to us at the time (but now could probably be obtained for around $25 at a Cash Converters).
Story Behind the Song:
This song was thrust under the noses of certain Australian record companies at the time, but they were more interested in "hard rock" (The surf music wave hit about 15 minutes later). Surprisingly Sony Records declared the music to be "very interesting" but that was as far as things went. Some people have been uncharitable enough to suggest the main riff is lifted from "Pretty Flamingo".
