Description
Short Song Description: Insistent piano riffing, jaunty bass, burbling drums and Stephen Murphy's driving saxophone combine to create a lust driven jazz tribute to gorgeous gold coast meter maids.
Long Song Description: A clear sky, and empty head and too much time to think about love and beauty of the female form provide the basis for this jazz quartet's meditation.
Story Behind the Song: Captain Rick spent a lot of time wandering the streets of Surfers Paradise observing the life of the street and the beach. He was particularly taken with the unusual gait of the meter maids in their high platform boots and tried to recreate the stiff yet sinuous rhythms. Stephen Murphy provides the enormous forward movement of the song as completed. The backing track was created on an Apple notebook and the sax solo recorded in Stephen's kitchen.
